A restored 1870 church in Yarmouth Port, and the story we help it tell.
WHO.
Thacher Hall was built in 1870 as the Church of the New Jerusalem, designed by Boston architect Samuel Thayer. When the building was at risk, the community formed the Yarmouth New Church Preservation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to save it. Today an all-volunteer board runs Thacher Hall as a home for music, weddings, memorial services and community events. Susan Moeller chairs that board.
THE RELATIONSHIP.
Our job has been to capture Thacher Hall's story and amplify it: honoring a building with restored stained glass, frescoed walls and an original tracker pipe organ, while showing what it has become for the people who gather there.
